Kareem Kalokoh is a hip hop artist, songwriter, and co-founder of the ATH KIDS collective, who has emerged as a defining voice in the modern Athens urban music scene. Born and raised in Athens, Kareem began creating music at the age of 17, after deciding to drop out of high school and work his way into the hip hop echelon.
Kareem’s first EP, ATH2090s, was released on SoundCloud and paid homage to his hometown of Athens. Artistically, it aimed to create a unique world alongside his partner and ATH KIDS co-founder, Valentin Rivera. Their fresh, street-level Athenian perspective—expressed through both music and visuals—quickly captured Kareem’s initial audience. Heavy, dark-hitting anthems like “OTAM” and “New Flame” created a buzz in the city.
His debut album, CONGO, included fan favorites such as “Whip Game,” which landed him a spot on the YouTube channel COLORS—making him the first artist from Greece to ever do so. Kareem continued his album run with shows in France, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
In 2023, he released HORAE, a shorter project that continued to showcase his evolution, experimenting with pace, tone, and sonic texture.
In 2024, he collaborated with fellow artist Moose on BOOTCAMP, which achieved significant commercial success (over 3 million streams within its first few months) and expanded his live presence across Greece.
Most recently, in July 2025, Kareem released the single “PALI,” further reinforcing his presence as a leading figure in Greek hip hop.
He often raps in English, allowing him to bridge local experiences with global hip hop trends. His music addresses identity, urban struggle, multicultural life, and the tensions and opportunities of being young in a city like Athens. His visual projects, video work, and live shows all contribute to a consistent aesthetic—one that emphasizes authenticity, street culture, and a desire to represent a side of Greece that is often under-seen.
